COVID: Thai PM doesn’t know what he is doing

The Thailand prime minister has, yet again, demonstrated that he is fumbling around in the dark over his COVID safety measures after cancelling an order banning restaurant dining in Bangkok, just one day before it was due to take effect.

If further evidence was needed that the COVID lock downs have nothing to do with your health and welfare the General has decided that eating food in restaurants is safe until 9pm, every day, but you might die if you are hungry and go for food after hours.

This ludicrous ruling comes hot on the heels of another that insists shopping is more dangerous after 9pm than it is before it.

Which is running neck and neck in the stupidity stakes with closing all driver training and testing facilities.

Despite having the highest road death rate on the planet, Prayuth thinks that the risk of COVID 19, with its 99.4% survival rate, is more dangerous than learning to use the roads properly.

Prayuth’s latest demonstration that citizens of the world should be questioning the COVID ‘crisis’ more closely was announced, Soviet stylie, last night;

‘I have postponed the order [banning restaurant dining]. Customers will be allowed to eat in restaurants until 9pm. However, restaurants need to arrange their tables in line with social-distancing practices. If not, they will be shut down temporarily,’ Prayut said.

What he really means, of course, is ‘do as I say or I will ruin your life.’

However, it is small good news, although restaurants are still banned from serving alcohol.

Because your rulers have decided that eating Tom Yum is safe before 9pm but having a beer with it may be deadly.

Have we had enough of all this yet..?

Apparently not. – Albert Jack
