A sex-mad pervert was almost beaten to death by locals before he was arrested for trying to have sex with one of the holiest monuments in Thailand.

Preechar Chumpla, 30, was caught by police for stripping down and performing lewd sex acts on the Thao Suranaree or Ya Mo Monument in Non Somboon.

The monument honours Thao Suranari, who died in 1852.

Officers from the Seng Sang Police Station were called by the man’s parents at around 3.20pm on Friday, August 26.

The told police that their son was “high” on drugs, according to local news reports, ended up beating the couple up and then fled the house.

He was then found by officers on the family’s roof, naked, but refused to come down. For the latest stories follow Bangkok Jack News on Twitter.

Once again, he fled and made his way to the Ya Mo Monument, where he was filmed having sex with it – and then pleasuring himself all over it.

Thao Suranari was given the royal title of Lady Mo, and was the wife of the-then deputy governor Nakhon Ratchasima.

She saved countless lives when the King of Vientiane invaded Siam in 1826, and is thought to be one of Thailand’s most-loved heroes.

But for some reason, the horny bloke decided to try and desecrate the statue.

For more than two hours he carried on being intimate with the statue, despite annoyed locals telling him to get down, some of whom were beating him with sticks.

Officers eventually caught up with him – although it took them two hours to do so – but to no avail, as locals nearly beat him to death.

He was taken to the police station, where he tested positive for amphetamine.

Video footage of the mad situation went viral in the country, and the bloke was taken back to the statue by his parents to ask for forgiveness.

It is unknown whether or not the monument forgave him.

He is now awaiting trial and could face 10 years in prison.
