In Thailand the mass arrest of youngsters continues

A group of 220 teenagers were arrested at a famous local entertainment venue in the Nong Khae district of Saraburi province yesterday, October 11th, for reportedly gathering and breaking Covid-19 rules.

Obviously this harassment of youngsters is again dressed up as being for their own good having been reported by an ‘anonymous concerned citizen afraid about the spread of Covid-19.’

This sort of reporting is straight from the Communist Handbook.

In this case the youngsters were found to have been committing the heinous crimes of dancing to music, not observing social distancing and failing to wear facemasks. It makes my skin crawl.

A number of e-cigarettes were confiscated and no doubt drugs were planted among them too, just to make sure something more serious could be pointed to just in case all the remaining normally thinking people in Thailand start asking the police and local authorities to be doing something more worthwhile with their time.

‘Arrghhh look, the kids were dancing without face masks on. Look at these two e cigarettes. We have captured all 220 and will be taking them off to re-educations camps to make sure they understand the importance of not spreading the runny nose around.’

Ok, the police didn’t say any of that. But they might as well have. They will soon enough.

What Nong Khae police actually did say was that those arrested would be subject to charges under the Emergency Decree for violating Covid-19 rules such as gathering, mingling, socializing, etc. with alcohol and at entertainment venues.

Charged with mingling and socializing…? What a world some of you are wishing for…. Albert Jack
