The thing about sports is that they’re pretty exciting to watch which is why they have millions of fans.

There’s something fascinating about watching a couple of professionals show their skills on the court, the ring, or on a pitch. That’s why they have die-hard fans that follow their every match.

Sports are inspiring to many people, filmmakers included which is why there are lots of sports movies available. These titles have taken on all kinds of sports and fused them with the movie magic that will have you on the edge of your seat right until the end of the film.

Here are a few such titles in that regard:

Moneyball

Baseball is a popular sport in the US, but it also has some fans across the world. There have been many inspiring stories in the world of baseball and one of them is the story of the Oakland Athletics team in 2001. It follows the story of Beane and Brand played by Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill.

Their task is to use their limited budget to pick some new players with a pretty limited budget. The premise doesn’t sound that good, but the film delivers proper entertainment. With veterans like Hill and Pitt, it’s aimed not to disappoint, and it doesn’t.

Southpaw

Boxing is another popular sport, but it’s not just popular in one area as there are boxers from all over the world competing for multiple titles.

You’ll find that there are lots of sites that cover this sport and some of them are online sportsbooks like www.betstation.com and they make sure to throw in some other popular sports as well. The main thing about these sites is to enjoy them responsibly.

In Southpaw you’ll get to meet Billy Hope, who’s a pretty successful boxer, and when fate deals him a poor hand he’s down on his luck. He’s badly hurt in one of his fights and slowly starts losing everything he has.

Things seem to be getting worse which is when he’s given a chance to prove his worth in a match against a young and strong boxer. After all, he’s been through he manages to prove himself the better fighter. The story sounds a bit cliché but Jake Gyllenhaal’s performance will have you wanting for more.

Coach Carter

This film is a bit of a mix of drama and sport, but then again all sports movies are a mix of both. This one focuses on basketball. Coach Carter is a basketball coach that returns to Richmond High School and he’s tasked with turning the high school basketball team into the best one.

But he’s not just focusing on basketball as he makes them learn and maintain an average that will help them later in college. However, each student deals with some personal problem that prevents them from keeping their head in the game.

This is a phenomenal film that features Samuel L. Jackson as coach Carter. The rest of the cast do a pretty good job too.
