Making Waves in Thailand’s Cannabis Industry

How a Budding Thai Start-Up Plans to Make Waves in the Local Cannabis Industry

2021 has proved to be an excellent year for cannabis and hemp enthusiasts in Thailand.

Following the amendments to the Narcotics Act, the Ministry of Public Health also paved the way for cannabis and hemp as food ingredients.

Yes, that is right – as per the new notifications – 424 and 425, manufacturers can now use cannabis parts and substances in food. It means soon, we will enjoy popular cannabis food products – just like our counterparts in Western nations.

As Thailand establishes itself as a regional leader in this regard, a small start-up operating out of Bangkok plans to be at the forefront of this emerging industry and set the trailblazing milestones for others to follow.

Not many people may have heard of Bloom yet, but going by their philosophies and plan, that is about to change very soon.

Bloom marketplace was founded with the intention of delivering high-quality, healthy cannabis products in Thailand.

Its objective is to be a one-stop-shop for all things cannabis and hemp-related products in the country while being 100 percent legally compliant with the local norms and laws laid down by the Thai Food and Drugs Administration and the MoPH.

Because the authorities introduced these positive developments about the use of hemp and cannabis only this year, the industry and the company are in their nascent stages.

This means there is a lot of work to be done, from manufacturing the products to taking them to the masses, navigating the legal and regulatory landscape, in addition to educating the people about the potential benefits of using their products.

And this is precisely what Bloom plans to address.

Bloom – An Online CBD Shop for the People, by the People

  • Locally and responsibly sourced hemp
  • Natural, organic ingredients that are good for your health
  • Being a part of the local community
  • Providing tangible health benefits like reduced anxiety, improved sleep quality, more relaxed and peaceful
  • Making people aware of the potential benefits of the products
  • Caring about the voice of the customer
  • Compliance with the Thai laws

At Bloom, you can find various CBD and cannabis products like CBD oil, edibles, tea, jellies, ice cream, popcorn, honey, butter, and much more! You will also find scented candles, diffusers, t-shirts, and other cool items on their website.

We reached out to the communication manager at Bloom. This is what they had to say:

“We are very pleased with the decision by the Thai authorities to allow the use of cannabis and hemp products in food. That said, we have our work cut out for us, and we are very excited about the prospects and the journey ahead.

“We know our people love cannabis products, and we believe that we are positioned strategically to meet their demands with our premium, top-of-the-line products. At Bloom, we are all about caring for the people and the community and want to give them a safe space where they can explore all the legally available options to enjoy the awesomeness of cannabis.”

Bloom is a brand to look out for in this space. As the hemp and cannabis food market opens up in the country, it seems like a matter of time before Bloom reaches the apex and sets the precedent for other brands.
