Pattaya open for business, but there is NO BUSINESS

There is nobody here...

The restaurants in Pattaya have slowly started re-opening for business and the only problem they face now is – there is no business.

The three-week isolation, imposed by the reckless mayor, which saw nazi style checkpoints erected all around the city, might have been lifted but the damage is already done.

There is hardly anybody on town and the few that remain don’t have the spending power needing to kick-start the local economy.

Instead, many of them are queuing up for free food handouts. None of them are spending real money with local traders.

The governor of Chonburi also ignored the government when he imposed a further ban on restaurants until May 31, just as Bangkok and the rest of Thailand started easing restrictions.

Yesterday the government announced and extension of the State of Emergency meaning there will be no new visitors to the city for another month.

Pattaya is FINISHED as owners pack up and leave

The mayor of Pattaya and the governor of Chonburi appear to be competing to see who can ruin the most lives.

Because it is already known that the COVID-19 virus is less contagious and less dangerous than originally thought.

It is also known that the Thai government’s so-called safety measures have been far more dangerous and have cost more lives than the original problem.

The once thriving city of Pattaya has already been hit hard enough and yet it seems the local politicians haven’t put an end to their childish power-plays.
