A #Vietnamese boy is dragged across a raging muddy river in a plastic bag — so he can get to school dry.

He is one of 50 pupils from remote Huoi Ha village in northwestern Vietnam who normally cross on flimsy bamboo bridges and rafts.

But the dangerous plastic bags are needed when the Nam Ma river floods during rainy season, turning it into a torrent.

Incredible pictures show kids in bags making the daily perilous trip from their remote village to the classroom.

Mr Vo Giong, head of the Huoi Ha Village, said: ‘This river is very dangerous.’

“I hope that the state will invest in suspension bridges soon for people to travel more conveniently.”
