Large army presence in Pattaya Walking Street finds NO PROSTITUTION

Video still

A substantial task force of police and army personal have again patrolled Pattaya’s notorious Walking Street and have announced there is NO evidence of prostitution in the notorious former Red-Light District.

It has been reported that the security team were joined by members of the Department of Provincial Administration staff for their inspection.

The task force patrolled along the main entertainment street posing for photographs, talking to passers-by and asking questions.

It is not known if ‘have you seen any hookers lurking around here’ was one of the questions.

Pattaya Update News said on their Facebook page that the purpose of the operation was to uncover evidence of ‘under-age sex and prostitution.’

But those being carefully interrogated confirmed they had never seen anything like that in the area.

There have been no arrests.

But the cops are not to be fooled easily and Deputy Chonburi police chief Col Pongphan Wongmaneethet has asked tourists and members of the public to telephone 191 if they see anything suspicious.
