The suspect in the brutal slaying of “Hi So Cherry” has been shown on CCTV acting casually at a Cambodian hotel.
Assaya Chaiyapha or “Go”, 33, is wanted for murdering Thitima Tangwiboonpanich, 39, in a Lat Prao, Bangkok, hotel.
She is being called “Hi-So Cherry” by the Thai media. She was a wealthy businesswoman with interests in real estate and transport.
She was found dead from head trauma kneeling by a bed in a hotel room.
A blood spattered baseball bat was nearby.
After the crime Assaya took her Mercedes Benz from the parking lot and drove it to Prachinburi, reported Daily News.
There he parked the car in a private car park and teamed up with his younger brother. They boarded a courtesy van belonging to a hotel casino across the border in Cambodia.
CCTV footage from the hotel in front of a lift showed both “looking casual as if nothing had happened” said Daily News.
The man in front in the footage is Assaya and the man in the cap following is his younger brother, they said.
Assaya is wanted for murder and theft in the hours of darkness.
