A Canadian man was found naked on his bedroom floor with his face eaten ‘down to the skull’ by his dog, it has emerged.
Glenn Pattinson passed away around 10 days ago before he was found ‘half-eaten’ with beloved pet pooch Cujo sitting dutifully by his side.
The hungry five-year-old Thai breed had chewed away at the corpse of his master who lived alone with the dog at his apartment in Thailand.
Rescue workers were alerted by neighbours last Friday after complaints about Cujo’s constant barking and suspicions that he wasn’t being taken for his usual nightly walk.
Paramedics arrived to find Glenn’s face chewed down to his skull and his ribs exposed from where his torso had been eaten.
Cujo was sitting faithfully by his master’s side with dried blood around his mouth as police arrived.
Resident Bell Suchin, 34, described Glenn as a ‘friendly’ foreigner who lived in the area for three years.
‘He loved his dog, he took him for walks every night. He lived alone but he had a lot of different women visitors coming to the house — he was happy.’
Medics said Glenn, understood to be diabetic, recently visited hospital for treatment but was later discharged and returned home.
Police said they were not treating the death as suspicious.
‘Mr Glenn Stanley Pattinson was found not wearing any clothes. He had been dead for between seven and 10 days,’ said police lieutenant colonel Pasawat Siripon Noppakun.
‘The male dog was by his side and did not have water for several days. There were no signs of fighting or the room being ransacked.
‘We know that the dead man lived alone. The corpse has now been taken for a forensic examination to find the cause of death.
‘The embassy will also be contacted for relatives to be informed for funeral arrangements.’
