An elite entertainment premises offering ‘sexy Thai girls kickboxing’ in Kuala Lumpur was raided by the Immigration Department.
According to Bernama, 21 Thai women and seven Bangladeshi men were detained in the operation early yesterday morning.
Immigration Department director-general Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali said surveillance revealed the premises had been offering sleazy activities including the kickboxing, which is common in Thailand.
“All the foreigners are suspected to be working as dancers, singers, guest relations officers (GROs) and general workers,” he said in a statement. Mustafar said the department had previously raided the premises last year but the outlet was back in business.
“The Thai women who were working as GRO entered the country using their 30-day social visit passes and they could earn tips up to RM500 a day,” he said.
Mustafar also said the entertainment outlet had gone through some modifications such as secret magnetic doors, secret passage and exit doors that could only be accessed from within the premises to avoid and slow down enforcement officers during a raid.
“Also arrested were two local men believed to be supervising the immoral activities there,” he said. — Bernama
