Thunderstorms have been forecast for Thailand until Friday, the Meteorological Department says.
Rain showers and thunder accompanied by strong winds are expected, according to the department.
Hail is also predicted in the North, Northeast and Central regions (covering Bangkok) and eastern parts of the country.
The department, which says the hot season officially began on March 3, has advised the public to avoid open areas and standing under trees and structurally-unsound billboards during the storms.
Weather reports yesterday said a large high-pressure front originating from China had reached the country’s northeastern region as of last night.
