A British tourist is being held in the United Arab Emirates after she brushed against a woman who then died of a heart attack. The 32-year-old reportedly brushed against a 60-year-old German-Arab woman’s shoulder as she was getting out of a lift.

Moments later, the elderly lady had a heart attack and died, and police have now ‘indirectly linked’ the tourist and ordered her not to leave the country, Gulf News reported.

The incident took place in a hotel in the Al Tawoun area of Sharjah, a city north of Dubai.

The deceased woman’s family allegedly blamed the British woman for the death of their mother and filed a formal complaint.
