Brink of war: Kim Jong-un vows USA will pay as North Korea considers ‘STRONGEST response’
Kim Jong-un personally responded to President Trump’s threat of totally destroying North Korea in a rare speech quoted by North Korean state media.
The despot lashed out at Trump calling him ”mentally deranged”, adding that the President’s comments were ”the most ferocious declaration of a war in history”.
The dictator’s mouthpiece KCNA added that Kim Jong-un was considering the “strongest possible response” to US provocation.
Kim Jong-un said: “I am now thinking hard about what response he could have expected when he allowed such eccentric words to trip off his tongue.
“Whatever Trump might have expected, he will face results beyond his expectation. I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged US dotard with fire.”
Kim Jong-un made the rare address after Trump told the United Nations earlier this week that the US was prepared to totally destroy North Korea if necessary.
The North Korean dictator continued: ”His remarks … have convinced me, rather than frightening or stopping me, that the path I chose is correct and that it is the one I have to follow to the last.
“As a man representing the DPRK and on behalf of the dignity and honour of my state and people and on my own, I will make the man holding the prerogative of the supreme command in the US pay dearly for his speech.”
Speaking at the UN summit, Trump said: “We must work together against those who threaten with chaos and terror.”No-one has shown more contempt for other nations and the wellbeing of their people than the depraved regime of North Korea.
“They respect neither their own citizens nor the sovereign rights of countries.
Donald Trump threatens to ‘totally destroy’ North Korea
If the righteous men do not confront the wicked few then evil will triumph.”He mockingly referred to North Korean despot Kim Jong-un as a “rocket man on a suicide mission for himself and his regime”.
A day after Trump’s address, North Korea’s Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho had likened the President to a “barking dog,” saying his comments were no threat to the North.
And Kim Jong-un appeared to take a page out of Ri’s book as he added “a frightened dog barks louder”.
Kim said: “Now that Trump has denied the existence of and insulted me and my country in front of the eyes of the world.., we will consider with seriousness exercising of a corresponding, highest level of hard-line countermeasure in history.”
Kim Jong-un latest outburst follows fresh sanctions imposed on the his nation by the US.
President Trump announced on Thursday additional sanctions on Pyongyang, including on its shipping and trade networks, in a bid to put economic pressure on the rogue state over its nuclear missile programme. – Express
