Troops and police raided a pub in Pattaya early Monday morning and arrested the owner and two staff for reopening the business despite it being hit with a five-year closure order issued by the National Council for Peace and Order.

The officials found some 100 pub-goers dancing, so they were rounded up for age and drug checks. The officials found 18 men and four women tested positive for drugs.

Six zip bags of ketaamine and 20 ecstasy pills were found on the floor.

Piywat Lertjitras, 24, the owner, and two staff members, Supranee Lap-udo, 33, and Natthanan Kungwansit, 30, were arrested.

They were charged with operating an entertainment venue without a license and selling alcohol without a license, allowing drug use on the premises and violating an NCPO order. -The Nation
