Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan on Friday asked critics and members of the public not to blame Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha for supposedly initiating the measure banning pickup trucks from carrying passengers in cabs and on the back of the vehicles.

General Prawit said that it was him and a panel in charge of road safety that initiated the measure for the sake of public safety and the prime minister agreed with it.
