Briton is robbed of £4,000 by Thai girl who then bought a new nose

He woke up in their hotel room and found she had stolen the cash to pay for a nose job

The tourist, named as Marc Pearson, had been on holiday in the resort of Pattaya in December, when he met Thai woman Somboon Supasan.

The pair then spent the evening getting to know each other over dinner and drinks before he invited her back to his hotel room.

However, when he woke up the next morning, he saw that that 30-year-old Supasan had fled along with 170,000 in Thai Baht (£4,000).

Mr Pearson then reported the theft to police and when they tracked her spending, found she had used most to buy designer clothes and jewellery.

But in addition, they also found she had used the money to pay for surgery on her nose and when police checked her phone, they found pictures of her with bandages over her face after the operation.

According to Pattaya News, the woman the owned up to the honey trap when she was questioned by police.

Pattaya Police said: ‘The man thought the woman was attractive and they went together to his hotel to get to know each other.

‘In the morning she disappeared already and he has £4,000 missing. We have arrested her and she does not have the money.

‘She has spent part of it on a cosmetic surgery operation for her face.’

Pattaya is a popular beachside resort town about two hours’ drive from Bangkok, and attracts a significant number of Western expatriate residents.

It is well-known for its resort hotels, shopping malls, cabaret bars and 24-hour nightclubs.

When Pattaya Police checked her phone, they found pictures of her with bandages over her face after the operation.
